How to Make Sure a Property Listing Is Licensed and Trustworthy
Monnara team · 3 min read
Every property listing in Saudi Arabia must carry an advertising licence issued through the Real Estate General Authority's platform; this protects you as a buyer or tenant from fake listings.
Before contacting any advertiser, verify two things: that the listing displays the advertising licence number, and that the advertiser (if a broker) holds a valid Fal licence. At Monnara, no listing is published before the team verifies these details.
Signs of a trustworthy listing: clear property details, a pinned location on the map, real photos, and a visible licence number. As for listings that ask for advance payments before viewing or dodge showing the licence, treat them with caution.
To officially verify the validity of an advertising licence or a broker's licence, the Real Estate General Authority provides an inquiry service on its platform.
